MORE IN TRANSITION

In Transition almost entirely consists of pieces, which are very long - too long? -. They focus on the moment in which the long distance runner conceives the desire to give up but then supposes he is able to continue forever. Meditation between trance and sharpened perception. The theme is presence, disinterested being there, are the gaps, pauses, transistions, is the stillness, which first allows the other, the sound to be.

Vorläufig is dedicated to Peter Handke. He describes the word as felicitous: something runs ahead.
Handke: one of the greatest living writers.
This love for a landscape, not arising from any kind of homeward bound or sense of home, but the one of a wanderer, walker, of the foreigner, who roams this landscape again and again und loves it exactly on the account that it leaves him as he is and allows him ganz Gang zu sein (to be nothing but the walker), this love is the central theme of the autobiographical text Die Wiederholung (The Repetition). There, in this landscape slovenia he finds models, which can be transfered into the land of tale in the most durable way.

Falling Angel: Does he crash or just hover? Or does he drag one with him like Walter Benjamins angel of history?

In Transition: For a long while it´s nothing but a structured waft, a vacillating or ocillating and incalculable what´s coming out of it. Till it becomes evident that it´s about the preparation of a lucidity, of an sharpened look - what for? -: to live to see beauty, without manipulating or bemusing this look and the senses in general, without taking away their presence and thoughtlessness. For the thought destroys the connectedness with the perceived, over and over again.
This transistion between disinterested, non-purposive, unconditioned perception and compulsive reflection is hinted at by the musical transition between minor and major.
